In your new role as Lead Electronic Designer, you will be a key person within our development team and our organization regarding development projects, hardware innovations, and architectures.

Your role includes, among other things:

• Overall responsibility for the development of electronic hardware
• Act as a contact person for market requirements for new projects
• Derive requirements and specifications
• Design hardware architectures and document schematic designs
• Execute hardware development projects from idea to launch, be responsible for progress and communicate with project management
• Collaborate with mechanics, systems, and software functions
• Continuously improve and document processes

- Functional team leadership for a team of 2 experts in electronic hardware, prioritizing work packages and coaching team members

- Point of contact for international partners within the Heidenhain group

- Part of the management team within Leine Linde R&D

Your profile

This role offers a unique opportunity to use your expertise in electronic hardware development, serve as an important driving force for development and innovation, and be a central partner to our marketing organization as well as our international contacts for electronic development in the Heidenhain group.

You fit well if you have several parts of the following profile:

• 5-7 years of experience in electronic hardware development, with documented experience in executing development projects from idea to launch in collaboration with other development functions
• Bachelor's degree in electronics, mechatronics, or similar

- Technical competencies

• Requirements management: Interpretation at the system and architecture level, writing specifications for design and testing. Preferably practical experience from System Engineering.
• Good experience in schematic hardware design including analysis of PCB layouts.
• Competence in designing electronic hardware architecture is highly desirable.
• Documented competence in design for manufacturability, functional safety, and EMC. Experience with fieldbuses is an advantage.
• Testing: Experience in developing tests and verification tests in the product, including test report writing

- Analytical thinking: Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to see the big picture in design and architecture issues, challenge the status quo, solve complex problems, and promote synergies and continuous improvements.

- Professional level in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of German is an advantage.
